Best Face Masks for Exercising

Hello everyone and happy Sunday! As per the recommendations of the CDC, we are now requiring all Fall Session students to wear face masks to class. Many of you have had questions as to how safe that actually is. The students will be wearing face masks when they walk into the building and when they […]

Cirque du Soleil Files for Bankruptcy

Hello everyone and happy Sunday! I remember my first Cirque du Soleil show. My parents took my siblings and me to La Nouba at Downtown Disney, now called Disney Springs, for my 16th birthday. I had seen circus shows before but NEVER anything like that! I remember being in such awe! The lights, the music, […]

The Secret to Getting Your Splits

Akrosphere Circus & Aerial Arts

In conversation with someone recently, he described circus as:

“Even though circus is cool and all, it doesn’t really benefit anyone”.

WOW!  Talk about antiquated thinking!

Now, I know where he’s coming from. However, this thinking is just NOT the case..

At this time, it has been proven that doing circus and aerial arts…

  • Improves Hand-Eye Coordination, Balance, Muscular Endurance, and Cardio-Vascular Fitness,
  • Boosts self-esteem and self confidence,
  • Is athletic yet non-competitive,
  • Builds social and team skills for other activities in life,
  • Increases ability for high-quality concentration,
  • Is high-energy FUN!

Plus, research shows that children who engage in activities like aerial arts tend to do better in school!

That’s why we created our approach:

“Empowerment through Circus and Aerial Arts Training”

Sounds fancy, dunnit?

Ultimately, we are desperately passionate about all things circus AND the power of empowering children to be their best selves in all aspects of life.

Our team knows a LOT about all aspects of kids.  From early and mid childhood education to circus as therapy for autistic children to the kinesiology and muscular growth habits of kids through adults to safe training schedules for professional athletes.  (Yup…our coaching team has degrees in all that stuff and much more!)

Also, we all were/are professional circus performers and elite-level circus coaches!  (Plus a few of us are parents ourselves!)

Now we’ve ‘teamed up’ to apply all of that stuff to coaching our students and helping them to be their best selves…all through the fun of learning the aerial arts!

This is super cool for a few reasons.  You will watch your child:

  • Get excited about exercise.
  • Super-charge their own self esteem.
  • Release their best artistic and creative self.
  • Connect with exciting new friends as unique and creative as they are.
  • Fly through the air in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • BONUS:  Parents can rest easy, knowing their kids are in the best hands possible.

^^^ If all of this sounds like it’s your bag, then you’re in the right place and you’re gonna love us.
